On Thursday, November 10, 2022, Scott Edward Hughan passed away suddenly at the age of 45. Scott was born on June 3, 1977, in Annapolis, Maryland, to Jeanne and the late Richard E. Hughan. He spent his youth in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and graduated from North County High School in 1995. A Marylander to the core, Scott enjoyed cheering on the Orioles and Ravens, camping with family, swimming in the ocean, playing his guitars, and spending time in his shop listening to music and building furniture. In his free time, he could often be found working in his yard, attending a concert, or dreaming up his next woodworking project. But what he loved most was just being a Dad and spending time with his children.
Scott is survived by his wife, Patty; his daughters, Emilia, Alaina, and Sylvia; his step-sons, Andrew (Janessa), Nathan (Jackie), and Christian Nelson; his mom, Jeanne; his brothers, Bryan (Leslie) and Chris (Sharon), 3 step-grandsons and multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many extended family and friends. Scott was predeceased by his father, Richard Hughan.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy), Glen Burnie, MD 21061, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
