Albert Vincent Hupka Sr. "Tabby", 95, a veteran of World War II who was awarded five bronze stars, and a long standing resident of Glen Burnie, formerly of New York City, passed away on January 29, 2016. He was born in St. Clair, Pennsylvania on April 20, 1920 to the late Mary and Martin Hupka. Albert was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church for more than 50 years and Slovak Catholic Sokol. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was a kind and gentle man who made friends of everyone he met. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Julia "Yulette" Hupka.
Albert his survived by five children, Vincine Meyer and husband Merel, Albert Hupka Jr., Dennis Hupka, Greg Hupka, Monica Hupka Schiefer and husband Frank; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
