Anthony C. Carnaggio, 66, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home on September 10, 2021. He was born in Baltimore to the late Anthony James and Esther Nicolai Carnaggio. A Vietnam veteran, he honorably served his country in the Army from 1972-1975. During his service, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Tony was an avid train collector and animal lover, enjoyed watching Western movies, especially with John Wayne, playing video games and was an old car enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Anthony, Stephen Franklin and Gerard Phillip Carnaggio.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Reta A. Carnaggio; devoted children, John Emrick (Carrie), Stephanie Carnaggio (Russell Frye IV) and Christopher Carnaggio; cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Makayla, Joshua, Payton, Nathan, Kaitlyn and Presleigh; loving great-grandchildren, Maverick, Nathan, Levi, Jasper, Marybella and one on the way; and caring brother, Paul Joseph Carnaggio (Susan K. Capriotti). Tony will also be missed by his loving extended family and friends.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, Sept. 16th, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Masks are required for all visitors and there will be a limit of 40 people at one time in the funeral home. In honor of Tony's military service, there will be a service in the chapel at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville on Wednesday, Sept. 22nd, at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org or American Lung Association by visiting www.lung.org .
