Benjamin Gibbs, Sr

On October 8, 2006, Benjamin "Ben" L. Gibbs, Sr. passed on. Benjamin is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary Ann Gibbs; his dear children, Delma Rostek and Benjamin Gibbs, Jr.; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Gibbs. Benjamin was born in Maryland. He lived in Glen Burnie for 26 years. He was a member of the U.S. Navy as an Engine Man. After 20 years, he retired with the rank of FC EN-1. After he retired, he worked as an engine man on tug boats. Benjamin was a member of the Masons, the American Legion and the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis. He also enjoyed many hobbies, including working on cars, reading and watching shows about history. He had many friends whom he met with every day at Dunkin Donuts from 12:30 to 2:00pm. Benjamin will be missed by many.
