Buster Davis

Buster Keaton Davis passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Easter Sunday night at 1135 P.M. Mr. Davis died from natural causes, in his 84th year, after an illness of several weeks. though he hadn't been feeling well for some time. Mr. Davis was born and grew up in Loretto, Tennessee and joined the Army National Guard at age 16, driving Sherman tanks. Upon graduating from Loretto high school, he joined the United States Air Force in 1949. Mr. Davis was stationed in Alaska and Hawaii when they were territories and had also travelled to all 48 continental states during his lifetime. Mr. Davis boxed for the Air Force and was a southpaw. Mr. Davis moved from Hawaii to Glen Burnie Park in 1958. Mr. Davis was one of the first ten people to enter Harundale Mall when it opened on October 1st, 1958. He had worked at Arlington Hall, the Pentagon and NSA. Mr. Davis retired from government work in the mid 1990's (Communications and Cryptology) with 45 years combined military and government service. His interests were bicycle riding, antiques, history and camping. His passion was travelling, especially exploring as many back roads that he could find. Mr. Davis' favorite song was Radar Love by Golden Earring.
Mr. Davis is survived by his children: Rose Marie Hunt, her husband Ronald, Joseph Keaton Davis, his wife Cynthya, Angelique Theresa Davis, Elizabeth Eileen Davis, John William Davis and his wife Susan. Mr. Davis is also survived by his grandchildren: Greg and Eric Hunt, Michael, Jessyca, Jory, Jeffrey, Julie, Jack and Shawn Davis. His great grandchildren: Brittany, Makayla, Logan, Destiny and Joey Davis. Also, one surviving brother, Karl Davis of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Ann Davis, his grandson, Jason Hunt, his siblings: Jack, Namon, Norris, Jean, Robert, Marion Jr., Peggy Littrell and his parents, Marion and Dulcie Davis.
Religious services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Glen Burnie at 10 A.M. Thursday morning, followed by funeral services at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville at 11:30 A.M. The Honor Guard will perform the three volley-salute.
