Davida Emily Rose Groff, 91, of Glen Burnie, passed away on March 22, 2014. She was born in Paddington, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on October 3, 1922 to the late Isabel and Ackroyd Kentish. Davida was a school teacher in Australia before coming to the U.S. as a war bride and then became a homemaker and full-time mother. She helped to found the Garden Club of Glen Burnie Park and raised and showed English Bulldogs. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, and bird watching. To the upcoming generations of her family, Davida leaves a legacy of history brought to life through her stories.
In addition to Davida's parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 41 years, Lawrence H. Groff. Davida is survived by her beloved children, Dr. Terry Groff, Bryan Groff and his wife Debbie, Margot Morford and her husband Douglas, Dr. Warren Groff, Circee Pieters and her husband Johannes Jr., Donna Brooks and her husband David, and Kyla Kelim and her husband Patrick; her loving grandchildren, Alexander Groff and his wife Jill, Zachary Groff and his wife Inez, Stacey Pieters, Erika Davis and her husband Sean, Lauren Brooks, and Payton and Pierce Kelim; her cherished great-grandchildren, Ariadne Groff, and Caleb, Brody, Kaylee, and Reese Davis.
