George Ray, Jr

Mr. George Nicholas Ray, Jr., 89, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on February 22, 2011 at Glen Burnie Health and Rehabilitation Center. George was born in Baltimore, MD in 1921 to the late Olive and George W. Ray, Sr. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. Later, he worked as an engineer for BGE, from which he retired. George was a member of the VFW Post #2462 and the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge. He loved the water, and enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating. He enjoyed going out on the Chesapeake Bay, the Magothy and the Bodkin River. He was the beloved father of George N. Ray, III, aka "Skip" and James D. Ray; dear brother of Charlotte Patricia Warehime.
