On October 26, 2019, Gordon Graham “Steve” Stevinson, Jr., 73, of Millersville, Maryland, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Steve was born in Annapolis, Maryland, to the late Mary and Gordon Stevinson, Sr., on April 20, 1946. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class. He then went on to work at General Electric for 17 years, followed by the U.S. Navy and then at Fort Meade as a transportation specialist. He was a member of the American Legion Post 276, and he enjoyed traveling, cars, and he loved being with his grandson, Tyler, and his dog, Bella.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Stevinson; his beloved daughter, Catherine Hovance; his cherished grandson, Tyler Hovance; his son-in law, Keith Hovance; his loving siblings, Walter Stevinson and Judy Kenney; and his dear sister-in-law, Faith Stevinson. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 3rd, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steve’s name may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org OR Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org.
