Herbert Mercer

On December 27, 2014 Harvey went to be with his Heavenly Father. He died at his Severn residence with his wife and family by his side. He was born on August 30, 1933 in Coalwood, West Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Anna, 6 children from a previous marriage, Cynthia Lee Mercer of Crownsville, Bonnie Lou Mercer of Severn, Linda Sue Musgrove and husband Don of Pasadena, Terri Ann Gonzalez and husband Arturo of Glen Burnie, Glenn Harvey Mercer and wife Kelly of Stewart, PA, Denise Lynn Cavendar and husband Jeff of St. Auburn, West VA, Anna's 2 daughters, Sharon Ann Scalio Sr. and husband Jim of Lewes, DE and Patricia Lynn Crouse wife to late husband Karl of Pasadena, MD. He left behind 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Westinghouse for 35 years as a Manufacturing Supervisor-graduated from Johns Hopkins University and became an Engineer with Westinghouse. He is a long standing member of the former Marley Park Church of the Nazarene, now known as Grace Point Comm. Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Mercer and wife Sara and Anna's daughter Debra Jean Dunmire Shoe.
