Hoyt Toney

Hoyt Anderson Toney, 81, of Glen Burnie died of cancer on January 22, 2009 after a 2 year illness. Mr. Toney was born on August 22, 1927 in North Carolina to the late Johnnie C. and Cleo Toney. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a retired Baltimore County police officer. He enjoyed fixing cars, traveling, reading and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Toney. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Toney; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Raymond Streib of Severn; granddaughter, Carol Mekins and her husband Jim Mekins of Pasadena; grandson, Kenneth Davis and his wife Keri Davis of Pasadena; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Mekins and Jennifer Mekins of Pasadena; and three sisters, Darlene McClellan and Helen Jones of North Carolina, and Ruby Hinson of South Carolina.
