James Peterson

James Carlton Peterson, 49, of Severn, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.  James was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Charlene Peterson and the late Norman Peterson.  He earned his PhD from Kennedy Western University and was a trainer with C.M.S. – Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services.  He enjoyed woodworking, biking, and watching football.

James is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Cassy A. Peterson; his cherished children, Devin (Caitlin) Peterson and Shelby Peterson; his beloved mother, Charlene Peterson; and his loving brother, Tom (Anne) Peterson.  He was predeceased by his beloved father, Norman Peterson.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1  2nd Ave. S.W. (at Crain Highway) in Glen Burnie, on Saturday, February 2nd, from 9 – 10 AM for a memorial gathering.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will immediately follow at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’ name may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County at www.aacspca.org.
