Jeanne Dean

Jeanne Marie Dean of Ocean City, formerly of Glen Burnie, passed away on May 16, 2015. She was born in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Irene and Gerald Daley. Jeanne graduated from the St. Mary's School of Nursing in Niagara Falls and went on to help those in need as a nurse for many years. She enjoyed exercising, especially walking, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Robert T. Dean; her beloved children, Robert Dean and his wife Terry, Sydney Dean and her husband Dave McKay, and Amy Swecker and her husband Dale; her cherished grandchildren, Robert Dean, Terri Hardesty, Lindsay Dean, Alex Dean, Haley Dean, Benjamin Dean, Jamie Swecker, and Leigh Anne Lauer; her loving great-grandchildren, Tyler Custer, Tanner Custer, Landon Dean, and Lily Dean and her great-great grandson, Blake Custer; and her dear sister, Eileen Gatley. Jeanne was predeceased by her daughters, Melissa Dean Lauer and Connie Dean Giordano.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, May 21, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7436 BandA Blvd, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park, MD.
