Kenneth Meyers

On July 29, 2018, Kenneth Frederick Meyers, 90, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Crofton Convalescent Center. Kenneth was born on September 5, 1927, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Cleta and Frederick Meyers. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a Tech-4 and then went on to work at E.I Dupont as an automotive paint salesmen for 42 years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose, and Elks, and he enjoyed crabbing and hunting. In his younger years, Kenneth played semi-pro baseball and then was very involved in his sons' youth sports in Glen Burnie.
Kenneth was predeceased by his devoted wife of 61 years, Mary Juanita Meyers, his sister, Gloria Robertson, and his daughter-in-law, Marlene Meyers. He is survived by his beloved sons, Dennis Meyers and his wife Judy, Gary Meyers, and Donald Meyers and his wife Bonnie; his cherished grandchildren, Steven, Noyl, Sarah, Michael, and John; his loving great-grandchildren, Madison, Owen, and Khloe; his dear siblings, Welford "Pal" Meyers and his wife Darlene, and Shirley Pumphrey; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Friday, August 3rd, from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 4th, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kenneth's name may be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
