Margaret Smith

Margaret "Peggy" Lillian Smith, 96, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2018 surrounded by her family. Peggy was one of four children born to the late James H. and Christina G. (White) Easson in Melbourne, Australia. She was in the Australian Women's Auxiliary Air Force serving when she met Martin H. Smith who was serving in the U.S. Navy. They married and moved back to the United States and traveled extensively with her husband's naval career. Peggy was a loving mother, and grandmother, and was known for her delicious and exotic desserts. She was a faithful member of Grace Point Presbyterian Church along with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and her siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Malcom J. Smith and Gary B. Smith and his wife Nadine; grandchildren, Julie C. Larkin and MaryBeth Foster; great-grandchildren, Donald A. Larkin, III, Lana E. Larkin, Abigail C. Larkin, Kyle Larkin, Christopher Larkin, John T. Foster, V, and Leah Gabriella Foster; numerous nieces and nephews, and family in Australia.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy.) on Thursday, Oct. 18th, from 11AM-1PM. A Service will follow at 1PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
