On January 29, 2016, Marjorie Ellen Smith, 92, passed away at Harbor Hospital. She was born in Minerva, Ohio, on July 19, 1923, to the late Gladys and Thomas Dennis. Marjorie was a member of Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church, The Ferndale Gardening Club, and The GFWC Woman's Club of Linthicum Heights. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and interior designing.
Marjorie was predeceased by her devoted husband, Charles S. Smith and her dear sister, Norma E. Bloom. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sharon Lee Baker; her cherished grandchildren, Jennefer Lynn Charmel (Gary) and Joseph Richard Baker, III (Julie); and her loving great-grandchildren, Jennifer Baker and Joseph R. Baker, IV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at the family-owned Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, February 3rd, from 3-5 and 7-9. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 4th, at 11 AM at Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church, 200 School Lane, Linthicum, MD 21090. Interment Lorraine Park Cemetery in Woodlawn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church OR The GFWC Woman's Club of Linthicum Heights, P.O. Box 301, Linthicum, MD 21090.
