On May 14, 2016, Mary Eleanor Wefelmeyer, 86, passed away at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, MD, to the late Helen and Leroy Hummer. Mary was an administrative assistant/bookkeeper and a very active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, and cooking.
Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Herman A. Wefelmeyer. She is survived by her beloved sons, Herman A. Wefelmeyer Jr., Edward Wefelmeyer, James Wefelmeyer, and John Wefelmeyer; her loving grandchildren, Robert Wefelmeyer, Edward Wefelmeyer, Emily Wefelmeyer, Erica Wefelmeyer, Christine Wefelmeyer, Kimberly Wefelmeyer. and Ryan Wefelmeyer; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Braeden Wefelmeyer, Brody Wefelmeyer, and Chelsea Yilmaz.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Friday, May 20th, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 10 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 308 Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Interment Deichgraber Cemetery in Severn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mary's name be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
