Martin E. Sander

Martin E. Sander, 98, of Millersville, passed away on May 11, 2019.  Martin was born on June 28, 1920 in Odenton, Maryland, to the late Fritz and Martha Sander.  He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII, and then went to work for BGE, retiring as a General Foreman after 42 years of service.  He enjoyed Orioles baseball, carpentry, and spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Sander, and his second wife, Germaine Sander, and his siblings, Ella Wist, Hattie Meyer, Bill Sander, Freddie Sander, Johnny Sander, Agnes Myers and Melvin Sander.   He is survived by his three children, Martin Sander (Cindy), Robert Sander (Carol), and Therese Rodrique (Randy); his sister, Hilda Cogar, and he is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy), on Thursday, May 23rd from 3-5 & 7-9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 24th at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel.
