Norman Jacoby

On January 14, 2016, Norman Victor Jacoby, 92, a resident of Jessup for 53 years, passed away at his home. He was born in Bethlehem, PA on April 15, 1923 to the late Victor and Stella Jacoby. He enlisted in the Navy on January 14, 1941 and retired as Chief Petty Officer. During his enlistment, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Navy Occupation Medal and Good Conduct Medal (6th award). Norman was a longtime member of the Naval Fleet Reserve. He enjoyed traveling all over the East Coast, going to NASCAR races, baking, cooking, watching football and camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Kathleen; and one brother, Raymond Jacoby.
Norman is survived by his wife, D. Ellen Jacoby; children, Donald Earl Jacoby Sr. and Norma Kay Lapchak; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
