On November 19, 2016, Peggy Murphy Griffin, 91, passed away at her son's home in Glen Burnie. Peggy was born on December 15, 1924, in Barnsdal, Oklahoma, to the late Faun and John Marlow. She was the secretary for the Adjutant General at Fort Meade for many years and was a member of the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church. Peggy enjoyed knitting, watching sports, and was a real "go-getter."
Peggy was predeceased by her first husband, Louis J. Murphy, and her second husband, Gerald E. Griffin. She is survived by her beloved children, Carol A. Weiss and Mark R. Murphy; her seven loving grandchildren; her nine cherished great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild on the way.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie on Friday, November 25th, from 11 AM to 1 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel.
