Samantha Jean Becerra, 54, of Anne Arundel County, passed away suddenly on February 21, 2022 while recovering from a brain injury.
Samantha was born on July 30, 1967 in West Virginia to Shirley Ann Watson. She is survived by her loving children, Nicole Becerra (Frederick Porter), Manuel Lopez (Tamara Yazzie), Lacey Lopez (Derrick Fleming), and Latiza Rivera (Wilbur Keyser), her precious grandchildren, Aleahya Fleming, Landon Keyser, and Kristiana Keyser, and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Samantha worked in the healthcare field for many years doing what she loved best taking care of the elderly. She was so invested in making others feel special she would take her children to spend time with those who didn’t have many visitors. In her later years she spent her time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved and adored. Samantha also was an avid community volunteer with joining others to bake or feed the homeless among other charities.
Samantha a mother of four was resilient, kind, funny, and very loving. A fighter her whole life, she always found a way in any situation and passed down the true importance of always remaining kind and keeping family together. Samantha had one of the biggest hearts and good intentions in a world that wasn’t always kind to her.
Samantha hobbies included spending time with family, watching any and all cooking shows, swimming, traveling, trying different places from dinners drive-in’s and dives and planning where life was going to take her next.
Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss, she was truly one of a kind. Samantha got her wings and excelled to Angel status at a early age in life and will forever be remembered by all she had touched. A memorial will be set for a later date and time to be announced.
