Victor Cserer, Sr

On December 19, 2015, Victor Stephen Cserer, Sr., 90, passed away at Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 30, 1925, to the late Theresa and Victor Cserer. Victor served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during WWII in North Africa and Italy. He followed in his father's footsteps by working and then owning North Side Furniture in Pittsburgh. He was a life member of the VFW and became President of the AARP Chapter in Morningside, PA. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, in his younger years, playing baseball and basketball, and he was an avid Steelers fan.
Victor is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mercedes L. Cserer; his beloved children, Victor S. Cserer, Jr. and his wife Susan and Barbara Wassell and her husband Terry; his loving grandchildren, Victor Cserer III and his wife Kristen, Jamie Lynn McConville and her husband J.B., and Terry Wassell; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Victor Cserer IV (V5), Sydney Cserer, Wesley McConville, and Owen McConville.
