On July 10, 2016, William Eugene King, 80, passed away at his home. He was born in Chase City, Virginia, on July 19, 1935, to the late Mary and John King. Bill owned and operated King's Garage in Laurel and was a member of the South Carroll Aero Modelers and the Wright Flyers. Bill was very active in many hobbies and interests.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Peggy King; his loving daughters, Cindy Maguire and her husband Mark, and Debbi Canterbury and her husband Bret; his cherished grandchildren, William Maguire, Alison Plant and her husband Dan, Michael Canterbury and his wife Lesley, and Carleigh Canterbury; his beloved great-grandchildren, Kaya, Sevin, Logan, and Matthew Plant; and his dear brother, Eugene King. He was predeceased by his two brothers George and Manuel King.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, July 14th, from 9-10 AM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's name may be made to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
