Aileen Rita Clift (nee Anderson) 93, passed away on June 20, 2023. Aileen was born on August 27, 1929 in Brooklyn, MD to the late Charles and Christine Anderson. She lived in Glen Burnie for 66 years and later moved to Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville. She retired in 1991 from the State of Maryland. Aileen was an avid gardener with a green thumb for any flowers or plants she touched. She loved the beach and spent countless summers in Ocean City, MD. She was a passionate member of Holy Trinity Church in Glen Burnie, volunteering for over 25 years at the rectory and a dedicated Sodality member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand Clift; her daughter, Sharon Cyran; and her son-in-law, Michael Melnick. Aileen is survived by her four children, Carroll Clift and his wife, Cindy of Pasadena; Gary Clift of Pasadena, Dawn Clift Lloyd and her husband, Michael of Cape Coral, FL; and Marian Clift Melnick of Ellicott City; her eight cherished grandchildren, Dustin Clift and his wife, Alicia; Gary Clift, Jr., Chris Clift and his wife, Krista; Nathan Lloyd and his wife, Gabriel; Rebecca Lloyd Collins and her husband, Michael; Lauren, Allison and Michael Melnick; and her five beloved great-grandchildren, Addison and Ava Clift, Hudson Lloyd, Benjamin and Abigael Collins.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, June 27th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 28th at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
