Mr. Golliday died of cancer on July 7th in Corpus Christi after a six-month illness. He was born on October 3, 1924, in Savage and graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1942. He lived in Severn, MD before moving to Corpus Christi 16 years ago. Mr. Golliday formerly worked for the U.S. Post Office. He was the Severn postmaster for many years. He served in the U.S. Army in the south Pacific from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. He was a sergeant. He was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen and Robert Golliday; and one daughter, B. Juliann Golliday. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ann M. Golliday; one son, J. Bradford Golliday of Fredericksburg, VA.; one daughter, Sharon Golliday Gardner of Medina, Ohio; one brother, Richard Boyer of Columbia; one sister, Dorothy Mae Sappington of Odenton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Golliday was a good man who will be missed by many.
