Albert Praley

September 23, 1928 — July 9, 2009

On July 9, 2009, Albert F. "Ding" Praley, a life long resident of Glen Burnie. Cherished companion of 28 years to Reva L. Norwig; loving pop of Terri L. Sheaffer, Michael M. Misener, and John L. Norwig; dear sister of Dolores F. Graham; devoted grandfather of four and great-grandfather of one. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight siblings. Ding was born in Glen Burnie to the late Frank and Augusta Praley. He graduted from Glen Burnie High School. In 1950, Ding was a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles, and later worked as a District Court Commissioner for Anne Arundel County Court System for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and the Glen Burnie Elks Lodge. Ding loved sports (baseball, football, golfing), hunting, and eating crabs. He was a well known man in his community; he could not go anywhere without someone knowing him.
