Alfred Hranicka

On October 29th, 2010, Alfred L. Hranicka of Glen Burnie; beloved husband of Anne Marie Hranicka for 15 years; loving father of Todd Hranicka and his wife Jennifer, Jill Hranicka and her partner Cindy, Michael Hranicka and his wife Susie; loving stepfather to Jennifer Healey and her husband Kevin, Carrie Lindberg and her husband Matt; dear brother of the late Donald Hranicka and his wife Joyce, and Mark Hranicka; cherished family friend to Gary Holt and his wife Anna; and beloved grandfather of Ty, Madison, Jake, Blayke, John, and Lindsey Hranicka; Benjamin and Caroline Healey, and Cooper, Nolan, and Trey Lindber; and Stone and Taylor Holt. He was predeceased in death by his loving parents John Hranicka and Mary Hranicka (Poole). Alfred graduated from Brooklyn Park High School in 1960, and attended the Maryland State Police Academy in 1967. He worked for the Maryland State Police from 1967 until he retired in 1989 and he continued to work in the private sector. Alfred was an Airman 2nd Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965. He was a proud member of the FOP and Granite Baptist Church. He was a man of many interest and passions; including, photography, cooking, prison ministry, Bible Study, fishing and crabbing and his greatest joy was his grandchildren.
