Alfred Vecchioni

Alfred "Fred" Basil Vecchioni, passed away at the Baltimore VA Rehabilitation and Extended Care Center on July 13, 2009. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Vince and Zena Vecchioni in 1932. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army National Guard for 21 years. Mr. Vecchioni was a carpet mechanic for Floor Covering Services for 25 years. He was a member of the 29th Infantry Division, American Legion Post #276 and Vet Corps. He enjoyed photography, playing video games and was a collector of WWII memorabilia. Mr. Vecchioni is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan M. Vecchioni; and is the devoted father of Sharon Mietzner, Michael, Connie, Kathy and Donald Vecchioni and the late James Vecchioni; dear brother of Rose Marie Fitzberger. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
