On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Alfred Edward Cormack, III, better known as “Ed,” passed away at his daughter’s home in Linthicum at the age of 80. Ed was born on June 27, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Frances and Alfred Cormack, Jr. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Airman 1st Class. Ed then worked for over 25 years for American Airlines. He enjoyed fishing and above all else, he loved spending time with his family.
Ed is survived by his loving daughter, Tracie A. Wadsworth and her husband, David; his cherished grandchildren, Brittanie (Sean) Sabourin, Evan Wadsworth, and Tiffany (Shawn) Rummell; his beloved great-grandchildren, Cammie Salefski, Grayson Sabourin, and Braylee Rummell; and his dear brother, Michael Cormack. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his devoted wife of 40 years, Betty C. Cormack.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, October 4th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
