Alton Grimes, Jr.

Alton “Pete” Dewitt Grimes, Jr., 77 of Glen Burnie passed away on October 5, 2022. Pete was born on January 9, 1945 to the late Alton, Sr. and Wilda Grimes. He is survived by his son, Peter David Grimes (Melissa Sitterly); his step-daughter, Nanette L. Cochin; his granddaughter, Stasia A. Sitterly; his step-grandsons, Justin Cochin (Tammy Withers) and Ryan Byrd; his great-grandchildren, Alexia Ray, Paul Williams, Arianna Faith and Jaden Michael Cochin; his siblings, Edward Grimes (Joyce), Patricia Oden (James Royster), Sarah Taylor, Lou Ann Compher (John), Ray Albaugh (Doris), Kay Colie, and Rosie Atwell. Along with his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Frances Grimes; his sister, Brenda Isner, his brother, William Grimes, Sr., his nephews, William Grimes, Jr., Frank Atwell, and Eric Bryce; his niece, Rachel Atwell; and his great nephew, Dustin Bryce.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 1-3 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel.
