Alvin Stauffer Sr

Alvin Daniel Stauffer, Sr. 75, of Glen Burnie passed away after a brief illness on August 8, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Maryland.
Alvin was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA on June 24, 1942 to the late Alvin Thomas and Blanche (Masterson) Stauffer. In 1961 he moved to Maryland where he married Rose Gregory on September 30, 1961 his love for her was so great he relocated from PA while dating to Maryland through a snow storm, to end the stress of their long distance relationship. Alvin was a great baker and used his skills in his career with Giant Foods where he retired and later worked at Lauer's Supermarket & Bakery. Alvin enjoyed, horseshoes, baseball especially the orioles, and bowling to name a few. However his greatest past time was being "Poppy" spending time with his family especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Severn Christian Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Rose Stauffer; daughter, Donna Hilton; son, Alvin Daniel Stauffer, Jr.(Bonnie); grandchildren, Alvin Daniel Stauffer, III(Kelly), and Brandy Hilton; great-grandchildren, Cameron Geiger, Hailie Geiger, Makayla Stauffer, Malakai Stauffer, and Khloe Wolf; seven siblings; and his poodle, Angel. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four other siblings.

Al will be remembered by his family for his great devotion to them as a true family man, his outgoing personality his wonderful since of humor that he kept up until the very end that made them all laugh through a rough time.
