On October 25, 2007, Anita Wickham Booker passed away after a lengthy illness. She was 75. Beloved wife of 57 years to Richard W. Booker; Devoted mother of Dana B. Naas & her husband William and Linda G. Vienna and her husband Angelo; Cherished grandmother of Christina D. Vienna and Meghan D., Terry M. and Stuart W. Naas. She was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Wickham Hamden. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, Anita lived in Hanover, Maryland since 1955. She attended two years of business school and worked for 12 years as an order writer for Koppers Machinery Corporation. An avid collector of dolls, she belonged to the Chesapeake Doll Collectors Club and the National Federation of Doll Collectors (NFDC). She enjoyed attending doll conventions. Anita was also an exceptional cook and baker. On Monday, October 29, from 2 to 5 PM, visitation will be held at Oakley Funeral Services, 318 West Church St. in Roanoke, Virginia (540-982-2100). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, at 10 AM, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia.
