Anita Smith

On February 25, 2007, Anita Nell Smith (nee Humphrey) passed away at Kris Leigh Assisted Living at the age of 86. Beloved wife for 67 years to the late Alvin I. Smith; Devoted mother of Janice Kay Terrett and Sue Ann Wallace; Dearest sister of Kate Taylor; Cherished grandmother of five and great-grandmother of seven. Anita was born in Flushing, Ohio and lived there most of her life. She lived right next door to her sister for 40 years, with whom she was very close. Later, Anita and Alvin moved to Glen Burnie where they lived for 14 years. Anita was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and also of the Flushing United Methodist Church. She loved animals and spoiled her dogs. Anita especially enjoyed spending time with her family, her sister and her cherished grandchildren. Anita will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Funeral services and burial will be held at 2PM on Saturday, March 3, at Warren Funeral Home in Flushing, Ohio.
