Ann Evans

Ann T. Evans, 92, of Glen Burnie passed away on September 2, 2016. She was born on March 30, 1924 in Lonaconing, Maryland to the late Thomas and Catherine Powers. Mrs. Evans dedicated her life to nursing and was a member of the Cadet Corps. She later retired from the University of MD Hospital. She was an active member of the Pascal Senior Center and the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles T. Evans; Ann is survived by her children, Jack T. Evans (Donna), Patricia A. Plitt (Chuck), J. Mark Evans (Anne), Stephen S. Evans (Kathy) and Christopher D. Evans (Carrie); her grandchildren, Colleen Maciolek, Lisa Evans Wells, Daniel Plitt, Rachel Evans and Sydney Evans; her great-grandchildren, Brynn Maciolek, Claire Maciolek and Molly Wells; her step grandchildren, Edward Sloman, Randy Sloman, Brian Badami and Joseph Badami; her niece, Joan Powers; and nephews, Thomas, John and Edward Powers. She is also survived by nine Evans family nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, September 9th from 6-8 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Glen Burnie, MD on Saturday at 11 AM. Inurnment will be at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1451 Furnace Ave., Glen Burnie, MD 21060.
