Ann Marie Ingson, 77, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2020 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Ann was born in Baltimore to the late Edward and Marie (Elliott) Joyce. She was a proud Brooklyn Park High School graduate, earning a varsity letter playing for their basketball team. Upon graduation, Ann worked for the CIA. And after getting married, she stayed at home to raise her children. Ann returned to work as a medical secretary after graduating from the Medix School in Glen Burnie, and went on to retire from the National Security Agency. Ann was an avid bowler, a talented quilter, and enjoyed watching tennis and golf. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Edward L. Joyce, Jr., and her beloved husband of 57 years, Theodore “Ted” Ingson.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Monica Orr (Scott), Matthew Ingson (Jill) and Michael Ingson (Ellen); cherished grandchildren, Carley, Deanna, Allie, Mia and Annabel, niece Maureen Joyce, and cousins Carol Harrison, Sandy Rose, Joan Rohrback, Linda Ballard and Donna Pastorek, Norman Bonnette, Ronnie Bonnette and Phillip Bonnette.
The family will host a celebration of life memorial at a future time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ann’s name to The American Heart Association (www2.heart.org) or the US Tennis Association (USTA) Foundation (ustafoundation.com).
