Mr. Donachy died February 19, 2006, at home, due to complications of Parkinson's. He was born April 6, 1923 in Honesdale, PA to Quiddington & Cora Donachy. Arnold had three brothers, Thomas, Lawrence and Walter Donachy; and one sister, Jeanette Donachy. He was a farmer until 1953. He worked for R.H. Jerman until going into construction. He retired in construction work with Pridework Home, Inc. in 1988. In June of 1944, Arnold married Doris I. Noble. Together, they had five children (Vernon Donachy, Linda Bates, Arlene Brown, Sandra Iverson and Ellen Latta). Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, Quiddington Donachy and Cora (nee Goodman)Donachy; his daughter, Arlene Brown; and his brothers, Thomas and Lawrence Donarchy. He is survived by his wife, Doris; four children and their spouses: Vernon and Mary, Linda and Henry, Sandra and Mark, Ellen and David; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Arnold enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving member of the community and was dedicated to helping others. Arnold was a long-time member of the Linthicum Seventh-day Adventist Church where he attended faithfully. Arnold was honored as top "ingatherer" for many years, reaching his personal goal as well as helping others reach their goals for the church. Arnold will be missed by many people.
