Audrey Cavanaugh

On December 29, 2009, Audrey A. Cavanaugh of Glen Burnie; beloved wife of 55 years to David; devoted mother of David Cavanaugh, Jr., Lawrence, and Tina Cavanaugh; cherished grandmother of Angela and Rachel Cavanaugh, David Newman, Ann Newman, Ashley, Patrick, and Michael Cavanaugh,and Christopher and Rosemary Jones, and Angela Cummings; dear sister of Juanita Hartline and Evelyn Cape. Audrey was preceded in death by two children, Audrey "Sissy" Pietruszka and Patrick Cavanaugh; and two brothers, Lester and Charles Murray. Audrey was born in Maryland to the late Lester Lee and Marie Murray. She was employed with the Board of Education for 10 years, and also made wedding flower arrangements for young couples who could not afford them. She was a "lifetime volunteer". She belonged to many organizations including: Boy Scouts of America, Troop #636 and Cub Pack #636, where she was Den Leader, Peace Lutheran Church, IOOF, Rebecca Lodge of Dundalk, and North Glen Improvement Association. Audrey was a loving person who helped everyone. She also worked with the homeless at Peace Lutheran and Ferndale United Methodist Church. Other hobbies included charity work, arts, and crafts.
