Barbara Griffith

On December 3, 2018, Barbara Lynn Griffith, 66, of Old Town, Florida, formerly of Severn, Maryland, passed away at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida.  Barbara was born on February 25, 1952, in Severn, Maryland, to the late Frances and William Kennedy.  She enjoyed cake decorating, creating many wedding cakes for family members over the years.  She then took her talents to Graul’s, Lauer’s, and Hitchcock’s (in Florida) Grocery Stores.  She enjoyed bowling, crafting, and was very talented in painting & drawing.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, George H. Griffith; her loving children, Kimberly (Michael) DeLair, Tammy (Bobby) Kovach, and Robert (Verba) Griffith; her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Smarowsky, Joshua Smarowsky, Kathryn Dudley, Cody Kovach, Kayla Kovach, Chad Lane, Annmarie Griffith, and Trace Griffith; her beloved great-grandchildren, Bella Smarowsky, Kolten Ashton, Gabriel Smarowsky, and Rinley Smarowsky; and her dear brothers, William Kennedy and Robert Kennedy.  She was predeceased by her two sisters Virginia Carol Renshaw and Dale Emerson.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, December 9th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 10th, at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel.  Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions in Barbara’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.st.jude.org   OR   Haven Hospice at www.beyourhaven.org.
