Barbara Norris

Barbara Beatrice Norris, 75, of Glen Burnie passed away on January 7, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Barbara was born in 1938 to the late George and Beatrice Brewer in Dilliner, PA where she resided until she was married. Then she followed her military husband around the world for 21 years until he retired and settled in Glen Burnie in 1971. Barbara was first employed at DeGrange Lumber, then at Scott's and later at Frank's Nursery and Crafts as a crafts salesperson. She helped out whenever possible with the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company Ladies functions. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching old western series, and also watching the Steelers, Ravens and Orioles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bynum G. Norris; her brother, Delbert Easter; and her sister, Janet Hendershot. She is survived by three children, Bynum G. "Bob" Norris, Jr. of St. Louisville, OH, Marilyn Susan Phelps of Severn, MD, and Jeffery R. Norris of Pasadena, MD; her sister, Georgia A. Brewer of Jessup, MD; 9 grandchildren and their spouses, and 3 great-grandchildren.
