Barbara Gail Bagwell Stewart, 72, of Severn, Maryland went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017. She died at home with her loving family at her side.
Gail was born in Ragland, Alabama on July 9, 1944, daughter of the late Herbert and Ruby (Baker) Bagwell.
The wife of Robert Stewart for 53 years, she traveled the world with her military families, attending schools in Okinawa, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas and Turkey as a youngster. As a Navy wife, she enjoyed extensive travel, living in Japan, Florida and Maryland. She held several positions during her more than 20 year career at the Tower Federal Credit Union before retiring in 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Johnson of Severn, Maryland; granddaughter, Isabella (Johnson) Dove of Severn, Maryland; grandson, Shane Johnson of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; her three sisters, Shirley Roso of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Joy Hanson of Colorado Springs; and Marie Hall of Pratville, Alabama; and a brother, Troy Bagwell of Pratville, Alabama. Gail was predeceased by her parents, her son, Robert Jr. and sister, Candy Turner.
Private services for her immediate family will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, Maryland.
