Bascomb Willis was born in Amherst, VA on December 26th, 1932. He passed away on September 9, 2008 after a long courageous battle of cancer. Son of the late Homer and Dora Hicks Willis, brother of the late Grover and Clyde willis and father of the late Duane Willis. Survived by his beloved wife, Lula, and his daughter, Janet Moore, his sons, Thomas, Randy and Joel Willis. His brothers, Bennie, Emmett, Perrow and Parker Willis. His sisters, Brightsie Willis Stroud and Eva Johns Collins, many nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful, loving and supportive friends. He attended Glen Burnie High School. He retired from Carr Lowrey glass factory in Baltimore, was a handyman worker and for many years, he drove a cab for Associated Cabs. He was a member of the Glen Burnie Improvement Association, enjoyed attending the Association meetings and working at the Carnival each year in the Automobile booth. He was also a member of the Moose. He liked to Bowl and loved Blue Grass music. He loved to grow his garden and often gave his vegetables to family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He loved to cook and he prided himself in hosting a crab feast every year for relatives and friends. At 7:15 on Saturday, a Moose Service will he held at the funeral home.
