Bernice Boyer

April 11, 1930 — July 22, 2013

Bernice Teresa Boyer, 83, of Millersville passed away on July 22, 2013 at her home after a short, brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Bernice was born in 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Teresa C. and Frank F. Leasure. She attended St. Rita's School for the Deaf, and worked at the MVA for over 20 years. Bernice was a member of the Red Hat Society, Sisters of FFFS, the Pasadena Senior Center and St. Bernadette's Parish. Her hobbies included traveling, crafting, sewing and socializing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Alton Boyer; and her brother, Ray F. Leasure. She is survived by three daughters, Norma G. Switala and husband Leonard III, Joyce A. Boyer and husband Howard Williams, and Donna L. Francis and husband Dean; seven grandchildren, Carolyn Bernice Neisser, Aimee Lynne Switala, Leonard A. Switala IV, Racheal Laura, Rebecca Danielle, Wesley Adam and Mason Andrew Francis; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Franklin Leasure; and numerous nieces and nephews
