Bessie Ballard

Bessie Veasel Ballard, 89, of Halethorpe, passed away at Northwest Hospital on February 14, 2015. She was born on March 2, 1925 to the late Margaret and George Greenfield, Sr. She enjoyed traveling, cookouts, Country music, baking, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouses, George Crawford, George Veasel and Scott Ballard, with whom she was married to for 50 years and one grandson, Tyler Hyatt.
Bessie is survived by her four daughters, Thelma Truitt and her husband Butch, Diane Burton and her husband David, Barbara Hyatt and her husband Gene and Sheila Rogers; six grandchildren, Robby Truitt, George Truitt, Jennifer Kidd, Mark Kightlinger, Jessica Delucca and Rusty Hyatt. She is also survived by her sister, Mildred Nemethvargo and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
