Bettie Leister

Bettie Mae Leister, 85, of Pasadena, passed away on December 20, 2016. Bettie was born on March 3, 1931 in High Point, North Carolina to the late Jeffrey and Viola Briggs. She worked for 37 years at the Tall Oaks Restaurant as a waitress. Bettie also volunteered at North Arundel Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon F. Leister; and her sisters, Ruby Kathryn Swanhart and Patricia Ann Arthur. She is survived by her children, Kathryn P. Willig and her husband, Paul; Kenneth W. England and his wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Robert Eckman, III, Scott Loving, Jeffrey England and Shawn Loving; her brothers, Jeffrey Briggs, Jr. and Henry " Obbie" Briggs. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
