Bettie Jane McCaffrey

      Bettie Jane McCaffrey, 74, of Glen Burnie, passed away on February 6, 2024.  Bettie was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Sarah and Walter Stallings.   She was a devoted state employee for over 30 years and worked at the State Fair in the Agricultural exhibits annually.  Bettie loved BINGO, crocheting, and her family.  

     Bettie was predeceased by her devoted husband, William R. McCaffrey and her brother, Billy Stallings.  She is survived by her loving son, Michael Stallings; three cherished grandchildren and her dear siblings, Sonny, Shirley, Allen, Robert, and Patty.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Bettie’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the many family members, friends, and neighbors that supported Bettie in her time of need.     

      Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2^nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, February 11^th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 12^th, at 10 AM, in the Singleton funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bettie's name to Maryland Special Olympics at https://support.specialolympics.org/a/maryland, as she was very active in supporting the organization.
