Betty Connolly

On March 15, 2012, Betty E. Connolly, a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, passed away at the Mandarin Care Center. She was born on July 7, 1931 in Pennsylvania. She worked as a nurse at Johns Hopkins and Union Memorial Hospital. Betty was an avid baseball fan and loved the Baltimore Orioles; she also enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, cookouts and shopping with her daughters. She devoted her life to taking care of her daughter, Debbie, who has special needs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Connolly, Jr.; her brothers, Paul and Andrew (Sonny) Stihel; and her parents, Paul and Lucy Stihel. She is survived by her children, Richard Connolly, III, Deborah Connolly, Cheryl Meyers and Ellen McLaughlin; five grandchildren, Tracy Houghton, Gilbert Meyers, III, Molly Ellen, Olivia Marie and Claire Benedicta McLaughlin; and five great-grandchildren.
