Betty Hankins

November 6, 1938 — April 17, 2015

On April 17, 2015, Betty Jean Hankins (nee Carlile), passed away at her home. Betty was born on November 6, 1938 to the late Eleanor Elizabeth and William N. Carlile, Sr. She was a substitute school teacher in Baltimore City and a Sunday school teacher at St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Linthicum. She was also a member of the Daughters of the King organization at the church. Betty enjoyed reading, collecting blown glass and Betty Boop items, and working with children.

Betty was predeceased by her devoted husband of 46 years, Donald Allen Hankins, Sr. She is survived by her beloved children, Donald A. Hankins, Jr. and his wife Kimberly, and Sandra C. Connelly and her husband Kevin; her loving grandchildren, Thomas and his wife Sarah, Vincent, Julie, and Sean; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Samantha.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name, may be made to St. Christopher Episcopal Church, 116 Marydell Road, Linthicum, MD 21090.
