Betty Womelsdorf

Betty Margaret Latisha Womelsdorf, 88, of Linthicum, passed away on January 23, 2021, at her home.  Betty was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 11, 1932, to the late Julia and Howard Griswold.  She enjoyed painting, going down the ocean, and good meals.  Most of all, Betty loved spending time with, and taking care of, her family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her devoted husband of 47 years, Ellis James Womelsdorf, and her dear siblings, Robert Lee Griswold and Doris Smegal.  She is survived by her cherished son, James D. Womelsdorf.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, January 27th, from 2 – 5 PM.   A private graveside service will be held at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors.  We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
