Betty Ethel Wasmus, 87, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at her home. Betty was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 16, 1935, to the late Elizabeth and Clement Branham. Betty worked as an assembler for Northrop Grumman and she enjoyed going to the beach.
Betty was predeceased by her devoted husband Clifton L. Wasmus; and her dear sisters, Mildred Lott, Marlene Branham and Salvatora Teresa Branham. She is survived by her beloved children, Clifton “Bud” Wasmus (Dale), Cheryl D. Jones (Dennis), and Janet L. Wasmus; her cherished grandchildren, Christal, Shanna (Ray), Ashley, Colin, Thomas “T.J.”, Joseph IV (Teri), and Joshua (Brittany); her adored great-grandchildren, Trinity, Paityn, Cameron, Ryanna, Ethan, Ray, Joseph V, and Bowen; and her loving siblings, JoAnn Wiggington, James Branham, Barbara Andrews, Dorothy Smith and Donald Branham. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family & friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, March 7th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
