Beverly Wood

Beverly A. Wood, 94, of Solomons died on November 19, 2011 at Solomons Nursing Center. Beverly was born in 1917 in Odenton, Maryland. She worked as a secretary for the Anne Arundel County School System. Beverly was a member of Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton. She was very active in church activities including bible study and church dinners. Beverly lived with the Rev. James and Mary Ellen Manning for many years. Her hobbies included collecting recipes and cookbooks as she had an interest in restaurants. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Wood. She is survived by her nephew, C. Douglas Whittle of Glen Burnie; cousins, Beverly Manship of Glen Burnie and Robert Parent of Bethany Beach, DE; and godchild, Stephanie Emerson of Virginia Beach, VA.
