Blanche C. Carter, 99, of Pasadena passed away on November 1, 2014. Mrs. Carter was born on February 12, 1915, in Baltimore to Wells G. and Adeline C. (Pocock) Brown. She was a school teacher at Pasadena Elementary School for over 30 years and touched the lives of many, many students from the Pasadena/ Elvaton / Millersville area. She was one of the founding members of the "Old Timers" bowling league and was an active bowler in the league for 50 years. Blanche still holds the league's all-time high game record for women, when she rolled a 182 game at the age of 75. Blanche and her family enjoyed, traveling, camping and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace A. Carter. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Esther (Betty) Carter.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Highway) on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm.
